This Goderich Backyard wedding is a very special one to me.
Ashley & I met almost 20 years ago now and she became my best friend and the sister (along with her older sister, Sarah) that I never had. At the end of September, she officially became my sister, when she married my Brother-in-law, Joe.
Right away, I offered to photograph their wedding, but Ashley was unsure of how I could be both the photographer and also stand up as a bridesmaid. When she asked how it would work, if I was to do both, I had the perfect idea, I would ask Darlene McCowan (who was also mine & Adam’s wedding photographer) if she could second shoot with me. That way she would be fully in charge of the ceremony photos, and I could stand up as a bridesmaid and not have to worry about trying to do both, knowing that we were in the best hands with Darlene.
